Setting up and maintaining management of professional operations has been the focus and core business of PTL Group in its first decade (2000-2010). Dedicated to adding true value and honing the competitive edge of our clients in China, we perfected a holistic line of operational management services- taking over key back-office management functions, such as Financial management team, HR management, Recruitment, Marketing management, Warehousing and Logistics centers, Industrial projects management, Business recovery team, including physical and legal structures and offering them as long-term management resources for growing companies. PTL Group’s unique selling point in the outsourcing services segment has always been its trading capabilities and operational background in the Chinese market.

Facing a new decade and an emerging potential in the Chinese local market, PTL Group is fine-tuning its strategy to cover more of our clients' needs.

2000

PTL Group was established. Its primary function was to assist in the installation of humidity control devices in tobacco factories.

Pine Technologies Limited, the first registered subsidiary of PTL Group, started trade operations in Mainland China. Its main activity was the distribution of industrial environmental technologies, focusing mainly on humidity control systems in several industrial applications such as: plastic injection, tobacco re-drying, clean rooms, and cooling rooms.

2001

PTL Group starts to provide management services focusing on back office support for foreign owned operations in Mainland China. Targeting the lack of “independence” and “presence” as the main reasons for failures in SME penetration into the Chinese markets, the group offered outsourcing key management functions in the following disciplines: HR Management, Recruitment, Logistics and Financial Management. All management functions included the legal infrastructures, staff and physical assets to allow immediate action.

2003

PTL Group opened its first presence out of China, in the Middle East. A representative was appointed in Israel.

2005

New offices opened in Beijing and Guangzhou. As logistics flows grew significantly, PTL Group established regional logistics centres and warehouses in Shanghai Beijing and Guangzhou.

2006

A first assembly facility was built and operated and PTL Group established a new business model - hosting sales while backing them with locally assembled products. In the next few years, the group would focus on complimentary support systems designed to leverage our full logistic and managerial capabilities in favor of SMEs penetrating the Chinese market.

PTL Group Investment division started a joint investment with Matrix (Israel’s leading Software company) establishing John Bryce IT Training in Mainland China. By this point, PTL’s infrastructure and services, which originally applied to manufacturing and trading companies, successfully branched out to services companies as well.

2007

PTL Group opened its first European presence. Representatives were appointed in The Netherlands and Italy.

PTL Group started to provide Business Recovery Services. Employing our pool of experienced managers in relevant disciplines, we developed our own methodology of conducting quick Operational Audits. Such audits served to optimise operations and opened the way to a transition phase (together with the existing staff) and external intervention where necessary.

2008

PTL Group started providing services not only to foreign companies without entities in China but also to existing Chinese subsidiaries.

2009

The Global Financial Crisis made many companies let go of their more expensive foreign managers. PTL Group started to supervise several ROs and WOFEs that had to downsize managing finance, HR and other operational tasks.

PTL Group logistics opened a specialized spare parts warehousing and RMB invoicing service. PTL Logistics started “procurement coordination and mature supply chain management” aiming to manage complex supply chains for clients supporting international projects. With clients in the medical equipment, fine chemicals, food additives and dairy farm sectors, the Group showed an adaptability to new markets and different challenges.
